General Information
Worawia Holiday Haven is one of the very few Ni-Vanuatu inspired, built, and now operated international standard ventures in the 80- plus islands of what is now called Vanuatu. We are a 3-star resort, member of Vanuatu Hotels & Resorts Association (VHRA) and South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO). At Worawia, we prefer to have a small, intimate resort where the waits are a little shorter, the service is a bit more personal, and the chance of being treated like family (rather than customers) is a little more likely.
Location
Worawia Holiday Haven is located on Vanuatu’s main island of Efate. Upon your arrival at Bauerfield International Airport, the Worawia Courtesy Bus will be waiting to deliver you to the resort which is only 10 minutes away.
Accommodation
In keeping with our small, intimate philosophy, we have only one family bungalow, three regular bungalows and a deluxe dormitory-styled accommodation. This allows us a maximum of 18 guests in bungalows and 16 guests in dormitory at any one time. (So get your reservations in early.)
The Family Bungalow has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining/sitting room, and a traditionally styled verandah with deck chairs. One bedroom has a double bed, while the other two have double-decker single bunk beds. The bungalow can sleep up to six people. All bedrooms have wardrobes for hanging your clothing.
The Regular Bungalows are designed for up to four people, although one will generally be set aside for double share (two people) only. They all have a bedroom with double bed and wardrobe, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining/sitting room, and a verandah. The two bungalows for up to four people also have either a sofa bed or a double-decker single bunk bed.
All bungalows, or Fares (Faahr-rays) as they are known locally, are self-contained which allows guests the freedom to choose either a home-away-from-home (self-catered) holiday or a complete ’bludge’ holiday - with all meals prepared by your hosts.
The deluxe dormitory-styled accommodation has 4 rooms each with double-decker bunk beds, writing desk, vanity unit and a 4-way partitioned, separately lockable wardrobe. Also included two well-appointed bathrooms, a combined kitchen-dining area and sundeck.
Dining & Entertainment
Solo’s Feast-n-Fun Night, with Kava Tasting, is the best in local traditional entertainment. You can experience "earth- oven" cooked local dishes accompanied by traditional dances and music. As a guest of Worawia, you can attend Solo’s Feast-n-Fun Nights - held usually on Thursdays - at specially discounted prices.
From time to time, there is poolside entertainment so you won’t even have to leave the resort.
Alice’s Eatery and the pool Bar with a varied menu selection for breakfasts, lunches, or dinners allows you to choose self-catering or served meals. Visitors (non- guests) are also welcome at the Eatery/Bar.
Activities
Vanuatu offers duty free shopping, uncrowded tropical beaches, waterfalls, and deep sea fishing - all served with a mix of South Pacific culture and hospitality.
Located in and around Worawia and Port Vila are white and grey volcanic sand beaches which are both uncrowded and unspoiled. The romantic Cascades Waterfall is also in the neighbourhood offering photographic opportunities or a relaxing dip in the Vanuatu flavoured water which is always clean and fresh.
Port Vila (approximately 10 minutes drive away) offers access to the many boat charter services and deep sea fishing trips.
Dive into some of the most beautiful coral reefs on the planet and see exotic sealife as well as World War II relics such as downed aircraft and sunken battleships ("The President Coolidge"), located at Santo Island.
To really get into the local culture, you can arrange to view a land dive on south Pentecost Island. This only happens in April and May and access is strictly limited so you must plan ahead.
Worawia is open all year round and caters to families, couples, or single travelers, as well as various group bookings.

Worawia Holiday Haven is situated on Fr. Dr. Lini (Kumul) highway, next door to Port Vila Golf & Country Club. Public buses run daily past the resorton to Port Vila, which is 5-10 minutes away.
The Bauerfield International Airport is about 8 minutes drive away - we provide free airport transfers to our guests.
The popular Cascades Waterfall is just 5 minutes drive away, while Botanical Gardens and horse-riding ranch are only a short walk away.
The beach is a 100 metres away, while Hideaway Cove is only a short stroll along the beach, where you will find snorkeling and diving.
