General Information
Built in the early 18 th. century (1718-1754?), Quinta de Baixo Manor House – now located near the outskirts of the town - was seriously damaged especially during the 70´s.
The present owners managed to rebuilt the house, retaining its former design. Only the facades were preserved, the inside has been adapted to the demands of modern comfort.
As an extension to the garden there is a 4 acre thick chestnut wood, which allows pleasant walks whilst enjoying the calm and soothing atmosphere, together with the magnificent view of Serra do Caramulo.
The original French style, century old garden has likewise been recovered, together with the trimmed boxhedges surrounding the central lake.
In the main house you can enjoy our twins and double bedrooms with private bathroom and central heating.
Sheds once used for storing farm tools and animals were also rebuilt and made into rustic self-sustained and confortable lodgings.
This house is independent from the mais house. Offers a common room with fireplace, bethroom with couple bed and private bathroom, bethroom with two beds, little room, common bathroom and kitchen.
This house is equipped, offering central heating, cable TV and sound system.
Also exists a garage in a contiguous old tiles structure and a private outside courteyard with sight over Caramulo mountain range.
