Das entzückende Hotel Albergo Quattro Fontane, mehr ein Landhaus als ein Hotel, liegt im Grünen, nur wenige Minuten vom Strand und vom Fährhafen des venezianischen Lido entfernt und bietet die ideale Unterkunft für die, die sich einen entspannenden Urlaub in Venedig wünschen.
Das Hotel befindet sich nur 10 Km vom Flughafen von Venedig entfernt und bietet häufige Verbindungsmöglichkeiten zum Markusplatz; Abfahrten tagsüber alle 5 Minuten und alle 20 Minuten während der Nacht.
Der Aristokrat Daniele Pisani erbaute zwischen 1573 und 1575 auf dem Lido den ersten ridotto oder casino, um der venezianischen Aristokratie die Möglichkeit zu geben Gespräche an der Landluft zu genießen. Das Gebäude wurde im 19. Jahrhundert zu einem Wirtshaus (vom englischen Dichter Robert Browning oft besucht) und später, zwischen 1905 und 1926 zu einem Hotel.
Neulich wurde das Hotel von seinen aktuellen Eigentümern durch eine bezaubernde und reiche Sammlung von antiken Möbeln und Kunststücken verschönert, die dem Hotel eine raffinierte und warme Atmosphäre verleihen.
