Hosted in a splendid 13th century property, recently restored to provide guests with every modern comfort, Hotel Locanda Ca' Amadi is situated in the heart of Venices' historic centre, just minutes from the famous Rialto Bridge and within easy walking distance to many of the city's artistic and cultural treasures including stunning Piazza San Marco (St. Mark Square). Home to Marco Polo during the times of the Venetian Maritime Republic, and later to Count Palatino Francesco Amadi, Ca' Amadi is rich in history and charm and continues to preserve the atmosphere of 18th-century Venice. Guests of this sophisticated Venetian inn will delight in every detail; from beautiful 18th century furnishings to precious fabrics. The perfectly preserved ancient wooden-beam ceilings and wall frescoes in the main hall were produced during the 1400's in honor of the Austrian emperor Frederick III who chose to spend his summers at Ca' Amadi with his wife Leonora.
