Sights to see in San Godenzo in the Val di Sieve in Tuscany

San Godenzo, immersed in woods of chestnut and located in an elevated, panoramic position, is famous for the meeting between the Ghibellines and white Guelf exiles held here in 1302. 1302. Castagno D’Andrea, birthplace of the celebrated artist, Andrea del Castagno, is a one of the most interesting resorts. It is the starting point for excursions in the north central Appennines to Mount Falterona (1654 metres) Falco and Acuto (1658 metres), where on a clear day, you can see a view from the Adriatic Sea to the Tyrrhenian Sea.
