General Information
Die Villa liegt am Fuße der Matese-Berge in einer Region abgelegen vom Massentourismus, dennoch gut erreichbar von der Autobahn Rom-Neapel.
Grüne Berggipfel auf der einen Seite und ein Kranz von Dörfer und Orten auf der anderen Seite ermöglichen endlos viele Entdeckungen: Alvignano mit
seiner Burg und alten Kirche, Alife mit seiner Kathedrale und den romanischen Stadtmauern, Calvi - das alte Cales - mit seinen Tempeln, Thermalbädern und römischen Amphitheatern, inmitten von Obstgärten. Capua mit dem Kampanischen Museum, das nach dem Nationalmuseum in Neapel die bedeutendste archäologische Sammlung der Region enthält, darunter auch die Mater Matuta-Statuen, San Leucio mit seinen ante literam Seidenmanufakturen und der benachbarten Arbeitersiedlung, welche das Herrscherhaus Bourbon errichten ließ, die Sala di Caserta mit “De Negris” Manufakturen, wo auf alten Webstühlen nach bourbonischem Design prachtvolle Brokate gewebt werden, und schließlich Caserta mit dem prunkvollen königlichen Palast, einem Barockschloss, das erst vor einigen Jahren restauriert wurde und nun wieder in seinem ursprünglichen Glanz erstrahlt.
