General Information
Paganello is a large villa of the 16th Century not very far from Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. It is situated on the crest of a classic Tuscan panorama, surrounded by the hills of Chianti which cultivates vineyards and olive groves, wherever one looks it becomes a beautiful view to be admired and enjoyed. Paganello is mentioned in the book, “Le Ville di Firenze” by Ovidio Guaita, Published by Newton & Compton Editori: “The only stately character of the architecture on the simple façade, is the portal, which is surrounded by ashlar stones and flanked by two low windows.
Passing through the entrance there is a small vaulted lobby from which we reach the courtyard. This is closed on three sides but the open side gives on excellent view over the valley. Inside the villa stone jambs enrich the doors and some of the rooms are vaulted. In front of the villa, on the other side of the road there is chapel. Inside, the vaulted ceiling is decorated in simple grotesque style with a painting of the Virgin Mary in the centre.
Besides being a classic Tuscan agricultural farm in 1999 it became an activity for farm holidays: the production of wine and olive oil from its own vineyards and olive grove extends over an area of 68 acres.
Guests staying at Paganello can buy the genuine farm products: extra virgin olive oil, wine, honey, Vin Santo and, use the mountain bikes available to rent.
In a small part of the west side of the villa there is an exclusive internal courtyard, which is at the disposition of the guests. There are four very spacious apartments with individual heating, two with open fire place available to rent.
The apartments, which are independent to the rest of the villa, offers privacy, relaxation familiarity between the guests and eventual friends.
