General Information
Private one and two bedroom cottages tucked away between the ocean and the Sea of Abaco on the north end of Green Turtle Cay, with miles of secluded beach at your doorstep.
Ideal for family get-togethers, fishing, snorkeling, diving or ... just come and try our oceanfront hammock for a change of pace.
Coco Bay Cottages is situated on six acres at the narrowest part of Green Turtle Cay where 600 feet of land separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Bay of Abaco. This means two beaches to chose from: the calm, protected waters of Coco Bay, or the expansive oceanside beach with its inner reef less than one hundred yards offshore.
There are four cottages to choose from:
- Jamaica Cottage - Ocean Front
- Tahiti Cottage - Bayside
- Pink - Views of Ocean and Bay
- Bali Hi - Views of Ocean and Bay
Each cottage is fully furnished and equipped with linens and kitchen utensils. Tastefully decorated to fit the tropical atmosphere, each unit is adorned with rattan furniture and glass top tables. Our kitchens are fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee maker. All cottages are air conditioned. Large wrap around decks with beach chairs and table are ideal for sunbathing, or reading, or daydreaming, or dining al fresco.
The garden is dotted with tropical fruit trees. The fruits are available for the enjoyment of our guests in season.
Each cottage has its own phone to allow you to make dinner, boat, dive or excursion reservations.
Jamaica - Sleeps 4
Directly on the ocean, our largest cottage has 2 bedrooms, each with queen size bed. From the living-room, kitchen area or the covered porch you can enjoy a breath taking view of the ocean and the reef.
Pink - Sleeps 5
This charming cottage, formerly the owner's home, has two bedrooms, The master bedroom, with its own oceanview porch, has a queen size bed. The other bedroom has three built-in single beds and a separate entrance.You are but minutes away from either the ocean or bay.
Bali-HI - Sleeps 5
This two bedroom, two bath cottage has a master suite with king size bed, own bathroom, and walk in closet. On the opposite side of the cottage is the other bedroom with a double bed and one single bed.
This cottage has a screened in porch overlooking the ocean and a wrap-around porch on the bayside overlooking fruit trees and flowering shrubs.
Tahitiv - Couples Only, sleeps two
This quaint honeymoon cottage has a beautiful view of the water. The single large bedroom has a king sized bed. It is very private and ideal for couples wishing to get away. You can watch the sunset directly from the porch in winter.
New! CONCH PEARL and CONCH SHELL cottages - NEW additions to the Cocobay Cottages are the CONCH PEARL and the CONCH SHELL cottages: Directly on the ocean with spectacular views of the beach and the reef, each deluxe cottage features 3 bedrooms/ 2 bath, large kitchen and living room area.
The master suite with its king bed , own bathroom and walk-in closet overlooks the ocean. The other two bedrooms with shared bathroom ,each have a queen bed. Amenities include washer and dryer, stainless steel kitchen appliances including refrigerator with ice maker, stove and microwave oven.....TV/DVD and comfortable rattan furnishings throughout.
Complimentary use of our dock during your stay for boats up to 23 feet. A spacious covered porch where you can dine al fresco and enjoy unlimited views of the ocean.
Our Recreation Center is Open! Library, Satellite TV with over 50 channels including the networks, weather channel, CNN, Board games and puzzles, beach toys for kids. Tide tables, charts, maps and star chart.
Is Coco Bay for me? - If you like loud discos, gambling, or in-room television - we're sorry, but NO. We do have more stars than you are every likely to see though! You'll find live coral reefs that lie right at your front door and are easy to swin to. They will thrill you with brightly colored fish and fantasic coral formations. If you want to explore nearby uninhabited islands or make visits to the settlement of New Plymouth, boat rentals are available on a weekly or daily basis. And there is a TV in our recreation center.
What do I pack? - Most people pack too much, Green Turtle Cay is very informal (restaurants do request shirts for dinner). Besides your bathing suit, you'll only need shorts, t-shirts, one pair of cotton long pants, a windbreaker for boating or our occasional shower, a light sweater in the cooler months, beach shoes, and a hat and cover-up for the sun. Do bring books if you're behind on your reading.
What do I do about Food and Supplies? - Three well stocked stores can be found in New Plymouth, the settlement on Green Turtle Cay (click the map for an enlargement). Local cuisine can be sampled at several native restaurants in town and, for the gourmet, appetites for more elaborate foods can be satisfied at two nearby clubs. New Plymouth is located on the southern tip of the island approximately 2 1/2 miles from Coco Bay Cottages.
