Fobello - Vercelli in Piemonte
Die Puncetto-Spitze ist eine der typischsten Formen des Kunsthandwerks im Sesiatal: Man findet sie hier in all ihrer Anmut und einfachen Eleganz neben einer wundervollen Sammlung von Kleidungsstücken aus dem Val Mastallone ausgestellt. Die Puncetto-Technik ist schon sehr alt und war vermutlich schon zu Beginn des X. Jahrhunderts bekannt, wenn auch in einfacherer Form.
Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte wurde diese Technik immer mehr verfeinert und war wahrscheinlich bereits im XVI. Jahrhundert ein Symbol für kostbare Harmonie: Davon zeugt Gaudenzio Ferrari, der die Kleider seiner Madonnen wie z.B. die Bilder Madonna di Brera und Polittico di Varallo (1518) mit eben diesen Puncetto-Spitzen schmückt.
