Barberino Val D'Elsa near Florence, Tuscany
is an ancient and very well preserved medieval village; it lies on the route that links together the two old doors, that of Siena and that of Florence. The village was built on the crest that divides the areas of Val D'Elsa and Val Di Pesa, half way between Florence (32 kilometers) and Siena (35 kilometers).
Its history reflects largely the old rivalry between the two tuscan cities. The landscape is beautiful and typical of the tuscan countryside: hills are all vineyards and olive groves and they are crowned by cypresses and ancient vilages.
